Dublin-hailed duo TV People reignite with their first single of 2021. TV People come ‘out of their silence’ and return with their brand new single Out Of The Silence, a track lingering with gloom of the period spent being unwillingly secluded as a band throughout the majority of 2020.
TV People hone a large wedge of Dublin into their music, with Irish bands, Fontaines D.C., The Murder Capital, Pillow Queens, Girl Band (the list goes on) being based in and around Dublin. The writing process of TV People and all previously mentioned others have crafted one of the most distinctive and exciting music sub-genres of the past few years from life in the Irish capital.
2020 releases – String, Nothing More and others – saw TV People placed on Hot Press’ ‘Ones To Watch for 2021’ list, Out Of The Silence certifies this praise. The brand new single is a windingly cathartic perspective of the indifferent energy of Dublin; vocals are deafeningly deep and guitars are piercingly cold. TV People quote the “timeless energy and presence that certain places have”, giving inspiration and perseverance in a time where pessimism took precedence. Dublin is the core of TV People‘s brand new single, with contrasting ‘doom and gloom’ and optimistic lyrics of a punk-style implying the general distaste of situations (beyond Dublin).
TV People’s debut EP is to be released later this year.
